5 Signs It’s Time For A Yoga Retreat

As I put the final preparations into my yoga retreat, I thought it would be a great time to share 5 Signs It’s Time For A Yoga Retreat. We can get caught up in our daily routines that we forget to practice self care. Attending a yoga retreat goes beyond just daily and weekly self care. It is an opportunity to connect with people, meet new friends, and reset your mental health. So, let’s get into it. Here are the 5 Signs It’s Time For A Yoga Retreat.

1. Burnout

Have you had days or weeks go by that you have overwhelming feelings of fatigue, changes in appetite, body aches, headaches? Burnout can show up in many different ways. If you feel like your daily routine is too much and it’s causing emotional distress and/or health issues, it’s time to step away and take some me time.

Do you find yourself walking into a room and forgetting why you entered? You are struggling with forgetfulness, mental exhaustion, and slowed reaction times. Do you notice you are forgetting every day things, school pickup time, meetings and more? This brain fog can be a sign it’s time for a weekend away to process some rest and digest time.

3. Irritability

Do you find yourself snapping at your family, friends or co-workers? Are you noticing that little things that didn’t bother you are now driving you a bit crazy? This can be a sign that you need to spend more time in a parasympathetic state. It could be time to relax for a few days. Enjoy a good book, some yoga and time to just relax and reset.

Now, if anxiety or depression have been something you struggle with, see a therapist or doctor to help you. If you are just having episodes that are still manageable than a wellness or yoga retreat may be just enough to help you get over the emotional hump.

5. Seeking A Change

A wellness or yoga retreat can be a great way to introduce change. Looking to eat healthier, or incorporate exercise find a retreat that aligns with the change you want to introduce and book it. Make sure when you return home that you continue the work you put in. Before you leave the retreat, make a plan for how you are going to return home and continue.
